At Gemini Youth Orchestras...
...we believe that music is one of the most eloquent expressions of our common humanity and that developing this expression in our children is not only engaging and exciting, but can also provide the fundamental building blocks for a successful and rewarding life!
Gemini Youth musicians have the opportunity to work with internationally acclaimed conductors, composers, and coaches in a positive community environment that fosters creativity and leadership. Our ensembles have performed throughout Long Island and NYC, including at Lincoln Center, Symphony Space, the Tilles Center, the John Adams Playhouse (Hofstra Univ.), and the Adelphi University Performing Arts Center.
In addition to our Concerto Competition newly established in spring of 2016, our 2016/2017 season brought an expansion of our program offerings. Our unique articulation agreement with Five Towns College enables qualified 10th, 11th and 12th graders to earn college credit for participation in our Concert Winds, Philharmonia, and Youth Symphony ensembles.

June Audition Updates! Due to a high volume of audition and registration related e-mails the week of June 11-15th, my email access will be limited. We appreciate your patience during this time.
Audition results are handled individually, and they will be made available for each child as soon as possible before June 16th.
Those musicians seeking to apply to GYO will be contacted about available openings and summer audition dates shortly.

REGISTRATION FOR THE 2018/2019 YEAR (for returning students):
As in the past year, we anticipate a record number of applicants at our June 4th and 5th auditions. So that your child's seat in the program may be assured for the year ahead, a non-refundable tuition deposit of $100 will be due by June 10th. We accept cash or checks made payable to "GYO", or you will be welcome to use our automated PayPal system at www.gyo.org beginning on June 1st. There will be no change in tuition for the 2018/2019 academic year.
